BioKyowa is a caring corporate citizen, supporting numerous charitable and civic organizations including the Noon Optimists, the Lions Club, and the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce. BioKyowa was a sponsor for the establishment of the Safe House for Women and received the Community Achievement Award for contributions to Mental Health Services.
BioKyowa has received the Missouri Society of Professional Engineering's "Governor's New Product Award" and received the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce Industry of the Year Award in 1991 and 2001.
BioKyowa also supports education, sponsoring a scholarship program for children of employees and the Visiting Japanese Scholarship Program at Southeast Missouri State University. Through this program, one Japanese scholar per year is brought to the Southeast Missouri State University campus to conduct research and to participate in various types of cultural exchanges.
